Further development of the business opportunity and technology is conducted. Rigorous evaluation of the technology differentiators, the various markets, their size, access to them and entry strategy is performed. ITEK may also seek external validation of the technology, market opportunity, industry structure and possible business models for commercialisation (Joint Venture, Spin-out or License).
The primary goal is to move the technology from concept to prototype, such that interest from key players in the various target markets can be engaged. Analysis of the investment necessary to move the technology from concept to prototype and prototype to product is conducted. ITEK may chose to invest via its Catalyst Fund or seek funding from the TTCF and/or government grants to help move the opportunity forward.
