Bruce Linn is an experienced Company Director and formerly CEO of Finlaysons Lawyers based in Adelaide, South Australia. His previous executive roles include Executive Director for EDS, responsible for all State Government business of EDS in Australia and Chief Executive of Camtech, one of Australia's leading Internet & Electronic Payments companies. A Science graduate of The University of Adelaide, he has over 30 years experience in business management, leadership, marketing and information communications technology. Current Directorships and Board positions include the Council and Finance Committee of The University of South Australia, the boards of SABRENet Limited, ITEK Pty Ltd, St. Peters Collegiate Girls School, the Internet Industry Association, the SA/NT Division Council of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and as Chair of Connecting Up Australia (CISA). He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and the Australian Computer Society.

John Grace has just recently been appointed as a Board Member. John is currently the Director of iBIO Pty Ltd Consultancy. He is a member of the Council of the Australian Institute of Marine Science and a Vice President of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.
His main focus is in the commercial development of leading edge science predominantly in Biotechnology. John was previously a CEO and Director for AMRAD Corporation Limited for eleven years and gained extensive business and management experience in a high tech enterprises operating in international markets.
He has been a Director of a number of companies and has extensive experience in corporate governance and related issues.

Graham's previous position was Chief Executive of The Katolyst Group, an organisation specialising in improving the development and commercialisation capabilities of New Zealand industry, Universities and government owned research laboratories.
Prior to this Graham was a senior manager for the AgResearch Group, the largest government owned research organisation in New Zealand, where the emphasis was on working with scientists and academics to develop and commercialise new technologies and products.Graham has also worked for major food companies in Australia in the dairy, soft-drinks and sugar industries. He has led teams that researched, developed and launched over twenty food products, rationalised supply chain management systems and introduced new technologies into food factories.He has also worked for an international marketing & advertising company in a variety of roles in Australia and overseas.
Academically, he has a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Australia.

Professor McMillen graduated with a BA (Hons) and Doctor of Philosophy at Oxford University before completing her medical degree at the University of Cambridge. She moved to Australia to take up a Lectureship at Monash University, and was appointed as Chair of Physiology at the University of Adelaide in 1992. Professor McMillen has an international reputation as a biomedical researcher for her work which focuses on the early origins of adult health. She is the Deputy Director of the ARC/NHMRC National Network and is the only Australian Commission Chair of the International Union of Physiological Societies. She served for extended periods as Chair of either the ARC Biological Sciences Panel or the NHMRC Fetal, Neonatal and Respiratory Physiology Grant Review Panel, as a member of the NHMRC Enabling Grants Committee, and on the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Scheme Expert Sub Committee on Promoting and Maintaining Good Health.
Caroline is currently a Director of the Playford Memorial Trust Inc, a Board member of the Centre for Innovation and the CRC for Railway Engineering and Technologies, and a member of the Science Advisory Panel of the Australian Science Media Centre. Caroline is also Co-Chair of the Steering Committee for Healthy Development Adelaide and a member of the Steering Committee for BioInnovation SA’s Adelaide Integrated Biosciences Laboratories.
Caroline is active in her role as the Champion of Women in Science, Engineering and Technology – an appointment made under the Bragg Initiative run by the Department of Further Education Employment Science and Technology’s Science and Innovation Directorate. In October of 2006 Caroline was presented with a Woman of Achievement Award by the South Australian Chapter of Zonta International, a global service organization of executives in business and the professions who pool their expertise to advance the status of women through action and advocacy.

Paul Beard was appointed Executive Director and Vice President: Finance and Resources at the University in 2001. Prior to that he held senior finance roles in both the private and public sector. Paul is a Chartered Accountant and an alumnus of the Harvard Business School having completed the Advanced Management Program in 2007.
From 1996 to 2001 he worked in the electricity industry in South Australia, during a period of significant organizational and industry change, in roles including Chief Financial Officer of ETSA Power and Manager Finance with the new private sector owner, AGL.
Prior to that Paul worked as a Senior Manager with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Adelaide and the United Kingdom, and worked in a senior finance position with Vision Systems, a publicly listed technology company in Adelaide.

Bruce is responsible for commercial management and corporate governance of the ITEK group of companies. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is currently a non executive director of 3 start-up companies in the ITEK portfolio. He also manages the ITEK Catalyst Fund which provides pre-seed funding for ITEK approved projects. His past experience includes senior commercial roles in the transport, retail and manufacturing industries, management consulting in M&A and business planning and franchising services.

Christian is responsible for providing all accounting functions for ITEK and the ITEK group of companies, to ensure ITEK complies with UniSA annual reporting requirements and to assist in the review of business and financial plans for new business opportunities. Christian has worked in accounting roles for various SME's in industries such as marketing and communications, manufacturing and property development. Christian has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Management from UniSA and is currently studying his CPA.

Sarina was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of SA in 1977. She has previously worked for BioInnovation SA, the Department for Industry, Investment & Trade and Luminis Pty Ltd in a range of intellectual property, consulting and commercial counsel roles - including the establishment and growth of a number of new venture development companies. Sarina provides advice on the legal aspects of intellectual property, its protection and commercialisation to ITEK and associated entities. Sarina is not available on Wednesdays.

Mark evaluates new technology and research opportunities for ITEK and works to develop these opportunities into novel technology applications before engaging in licensing, partnering, or company spin-out strategies. Having completed his Masters Degree in Commercialisation (Science & Technology), Mark has also played an integral role in the development of several small business units and start-up companies. Although his background is in Biotechnology, Mark has a passion for all areas of science and technology.

Chris has a lead role in developing two of our start-up companies - Iterative Connections and Neve ITS. Chris' most recent position was as the Regional Manager for Camtech Asia where he was responsible for establishing the company's operations in Malaysia. Chris also has experience with start-up company operations through an earlier role as an Investment Manager with the Information Technology and Telecommunications Group of the South Australian Economic Development Authority.

His career encompasses both small technology startups and large multinational telecommunication companies. John holds a Masters degree in Technology Commercialisation.

Stephanie brings to ITEK broad experience working with Executives and management advising on intellectual property management and technology commercialisation in the Biotechnology sector. She has sourced business opportunities, achieved great success in the commercialisation of a company product and has attracted international sales. Stephanie is also accomplished in negotiating business deals, preparation of business plans and technology opportunity assessments. Using exceptional analytical and project management skills obtained from work experience in the science, communication, business and commercial sectors, allows her to have a holistic approach when assessing the commercial potential of technologies. Stephanie holds a Masters degree in Science and Technology Commercialisation from the University of Adelaide and a PhD in science from the University of Lund, Sweden.

Roger is the South Australian Investment Manager of the $30million Trans Tasman Commercialisation Fund. Working closely with ITEK's project managers his role is to assist in funding the commercialisation of UniSA projects. Roger has an investment banking background where he originated and syndicated funding projects in London, Sydney and Adelaide for the past 21 years. Roger is available for a chat at Mawson Lakes every Thursday and having a passion for technology will make himself available to hear from researchers any time.

Masako has recently joined the ITEK team with full knowledge in both research and industry. Co-sponsored by the Trans Tasman Commercialisation Fund, a $30 million venture dedicated to investing seed stage capital into early commercial research, she is currently working on identifying and developing investment opportunities arising from the University of South Australia.
